Tamworth Arts Club presents an original production, a deliciously dark Halloween themed compilation show: Monster Mash Up.

This spooky comedy is a loose parody of classic 1970s Scooby Doo featuring all the memorable catchphrases and cheesy plot lines from the much-loved TV series, but re-imagined for modern day Tamworth.

In keeping with the ghoulish theme, this darkly funny production includes musical theatre favourites from Wicked, Phantom of the Opera, Spamalot and Jekyll & Hyde, alongside pop hits such as Michael Jackson’s Thriller and Sweet Dreams by Eurythmics. The show culminates in a monstrous finale which mashes up crowd pleasers from across the decades.

Fireworks Extravaganza - Tamworth Castle Pleasure Grounds, Tamworth Staffordshire

Fireworks Extravaganza

Tamworth’s FREE fireworks spectacular returns to Tamworth Castle Grounds on Saturday November 4th for another breathtaking event not to be missed.

Since its return nine years ago, the magical extravaganza has become a firm family favourite on the Tamworth events calendar and continues to grow each year, drawing more and more visitors from across the country.

The whole family can enjoy an evening of fun and entertainment, starting at 6pm and including fire performers, face painting, a sparkler zone, family activities, food stalls and the fair.

The climax of the event will of course be the impressive 20-minute pyrotechnic display set to music, which will light up the sky from 8pm.

As the event is expected to be incredibly popular, people are advised to walk or use public transport to the Castle Grounds where possible.

Limited free parking will be available at town centre car parks from 6pm and motorists are reminded that any parking must be in accordance with prevailing traffic orders.

Christmas Lights

This year’s free extravaganza is another jam packed day of festive fun for the whole family, ahead of the main event at 5pm when the lights will be switched on, bathing the town in Christmas cheer.

Festivities take place throughout the day from 1pm including live music, fairground rides, a festive market, treasure hunt, craft activities in Ankerside Shopping Centre led by Tamworth Community Café, a nativity under the Town Hall, the St Editha’s Church Christmas Tree Festival, walkabout characters, dance performances and face painting.

Entertainment will centre around the Touch FM stage in St Editha’s Square, which will feature performances from a range of acts throughout the afternoon from 2pm.

Young visitors will also enjoy guest appearances at intervals throughout the afternoon in Ankerside Shopping Centre and will be at the lights switch on alongside Father Christmas.
