Athelstan & The Cursed Gold - FREE Murder Mystery

Athelstan and Cursed Gold murder event

Free murder mystery in Tamworth town centre, 6pm - 7.30pm.

It’s 925 AD and there is unrest in the Anglo-Saxon kingdom of Mercia. King Athelstan has been on the throne for a year and there are some who question his right to rule… The monk, Brother Godric, who attended Athelstan’s father in his final days, has been brutally murdered - but who killed him and why? Did he know something that he shouldn’t?

We need you to help solve the mystery! Explore Tamworth and meet Athelstan and a host of Saxon characters from princes to peasants who can help you with your investigation. Question the suspects to find out who committed this historic crime and discover the best of Tamworth’s shops and cafes along the way.

Start at the Town Hall and collect your answer sheet. Have a smashing Saxon evening and remember…. Don’t trust anyone! You can start this event at any time from 6pm but all answer sheets need to be handed in by 7.30pm to be considered in the draw. Characters also will not be available for questioning after 7.30pm. Event sponsored by Tamworth Town Centre Forum and run by Murder by Appointment.

Free event - no tickets required.
