Tamworth Castle Saxon Treasures - The Raven Art workshop
The first of two Saxon themed art story workshops by Maria Credali.
During this enjoyable workshop, you will create a watercolour inspired by the Staffordshire Hoard. You will learn how to transfer images, outline, use metallic acrylic inks, create colour washes and gradations colour as you create your own mixed media artwork of an animal design inspired by the Saxon designs found on the treasure.
No experience is necessary. All materials will be provided and full tuition will be given by Maria who is a very friendly and relaxed teacher.
The Staffordshire Hoard contains some of the most spectacular treasure ever found by metal detectorists. Part of the collection is on show at Tamworth Castle.
Workshop duration 2.5 hours.
