Half term FREE kids activities in Tamworth 

Children aged five and over are being invited to take part in an exciting programme of free activities this half-term. 

Tamworth Borough Council’s Sports Development Team has confirmed a new programme of active events will run Monday-Friday, for the February 17 to February 21 school holiday.

The one-week timetable will offer a range of activities for Tamworth children aged five to 12.  The great news is all activities will be completely free of charge.    

The programme includes trampoline jumping, dance and bowling, which will take place at local venues including the Castle Grounds, Brent House in Wilnecote, SMDA – dance academy and Tamworth Namco Funscape bowling alley.

Bookings are now being taken at the following venues:

Jump Xtreme – experience the West Midlands premier trampoline park at Brent House, Wilnecote, daily between 5pm and 6pm. 30 free places have been confirmed for an hour’s jumping, excluding grip socks.
T&C’s:

  • Two free children places per booking for the half-term week permitted
  • Postcode and house number must be supplied with booking
  • A unique code will be given over the phone and must be declared when checking in
  • Arrival 20-30 minutes prior the session to complete registration and safety talk
  • Adult supervision is required
  • Ages 5-12 years

Namco Funscape Bowling – bowl over the boredom this half-term and enjoy a free game of ten-pin bowling at Namco funscape in the Castle Grounds. 36 free places are available daily on a first come first served basis. Sessions take place between 4pm and 5pm.

Sinitta Marie Dance Academy – join a fun and friendly dance camp at SMDA based in unit 8-10, Tame Valley Small Business Centre, Magnus. Sessions are open to all abilities from 1pm to 3pm.

Cllr John Chesworth, Cabinet member for Culture and Operational Services, said: “These sessions are always a huge success and are very popular when we run them in the summer holidays, so I am delighted that we can extend the free activities for half term. I would encourage parents to sign up as soon as possible so that they don’t miss out.

“We hope that children from across Tamworth will find the new programme exciting and sign up to try something they may not have tried before”.
