Heritage Through Glass Tamworth Castle

Community heritage project Tamworth Castle

A Celebration of Community & Creativity.  The display will remain on show in the Oak Room at Tamworth Castle from 6-30 April 2025.

We’re proud to share Heritage Through Glass - a heartfelt display of glass artworks created by members of Tamworth’s African Caribbean community.

Created during a series of friendly, hands-on workshops, this collection brings together first-time makers exploring glass art as a way to express culture, memories, and identity. The result is a unique and meaningful display that reflects the voices, stories and creative spirit of the group.

The project is part of Handcrafted Heritage - a Tamworth Castle initiative that brings traditional crafts into the community. It was co-created with local residents and supported by glass artist Rachel Dean of Crafty Business

The display will remain on show in the Oak Room at Tamworth Castle from 6-30 April 2025.

Included in general admission. No pre-booking necessary but you can pre-book online via our general admission page.
