Outdoor touring theatre continues this half-term holiday

Live music, storytelling, puppetry and mask work are coming to Tamworth Castle Grounds this half-term with an exciting show that all the family can enjoy.

 

Even more great news is that this show is FREE to attend. ‘The Town Band of Bremen’ is performed by popular touring theatre group, The Fabularium on Tuesday, May 29, with two showings - 11am and 2pm.

 

This family show tells the story of four fellow animals who all share a passion for music.

Meet the amazing-yet-mismatched musical family who are journeying to play the gig of a lifetime in the land of the free, to become The Town Band of Bremen.

 

This free event welcomes audiences to just turn up with their blankets, deck chairs and picnics to enjoy this show during the half-term holiday.

 

Local community groups have been working hard to create a new and varied line up of shows and acts for Tamworth families and visitors to enjoy over the coming months with support from Tamworth Borough Council’s Arts and Events team through the Arts in Unusual Spaces project, funded by Arts Council England.

 

This includes more Assembly Rooms on Tour, taking some of the theatre’s favourite performers out into community locations, and popular seasonal outdoor events.

 

The Arts and Events team have worked hard to put together a packed programme of entertainment while the town’s historic Tamworth Assembly Rooms undergoes a major refurbishment.

The project has now entered the construction phase and we want to share the journey with you as well as the theatre’s history and future. You can follow the Assembly
