BBC Big Band is ready to ‘shake’ the Assembly Rooms stage

For one night only, the internationally acclaimed BBC Big Band will be live at Tamworth
Assembly Rooms joined by special guest vocalists, to celebrate the music of the world
most iconic movie franchise, James Bond.

Get your 007 glad rags at the ready for a ‘shaken and not stirred’, performance from the
amazing BBC Big Band and guests Emer McParland and Iain MaKenzie on Friday,
October 8.


Audiences will be entertained by all the famous James Bond musical tracks and reminisce
some of the very best Bond movies ever to grace our screens.


The concert features classic numbers including Diamonds are Forever, Thunderball, We
Have All The Time In The World, View to a Kill, Goldfinger and not forgetting John
Barry's iconic James Bond theme; alongside a selection of more contemporary numbers
from the James Bond library.


Widely regarded as the world’s leading and most versatile Jazz Orchestras, The BBC Big
Band continues to delight audiences around the world through their broadcasts on BBC
Radio and their live performances.


In addition to its regular studio and broadcast work, the BBC Big Band regularly gives live
performances at major venues around the UK, including Proms in the Park in Hyde Park,
Cadogan Hall, The Royal Albert Hall, Manchester Bridgewater Hall, Liverpool Philharmonic
Hall and The Sage Gatshead.
