Save the dates – Tamworth’s popular Food Gusto Festival returns to the town for a weekend of the finest food, delicious drink and family entertainment this September.

Tamworth Food Gusto Festival will be back in the picturesque setting of Tamworth Castle Grounds on Saturday, September 7 and Sunday, September 8.

The festival will bring a wide variety of artisan food and drink to the area for the fifth time, serving up locally-produced tantalising treats and decadent delicacies for people to nibble, bite, chew, sip and slurp.

Tamworth Food Gusto Festival will have over 80 exhibitors, bringing you the region’s best food and drink, who have all been hand-picked for variety, provenance and passion to ensure food lovers are able to experience a taste of the truly different.

As the event continues to grow in popularity as one of the top food festivals in the area, competition for exhibition places is tough, with producers being carefully chosen to ensure the event offers the best mix of only the finest quality.

Any local artisan crafts person or gourmet food and drink producers are urged to get in touch now if they’d like to put themselves forward for one of the event’s few remaining coveted places.

The sight, smell and taste of amazing food is accompanied by a packed programme of entertainment and fun for the whole family, including cooking demonstrations, live music, fairground rides and craft activities.

This blend of food, drink and entertainment has put Tamworth Food Gusto Festival firmly on the regional calendar of events, attracting thousands of people every year.

Food Gusto event director, Wesley Ewing, said: “Over the last four years, the Tamworth Food Gusto Festival has really established itself as a must go to event on the food festival calendar, attracting the highest quality exhibitors from across the area.

“By bringing all this unique and gourmet food and drink together in one place, alongside entertainment for adults and children, we are creating a truly enjoyable experience for foodies and families alike – and we attract thousands of visitors each year because of that.

“Whether you’re something of a food connoisseur and want to see what’s on offer, you’re looking for a completely new experience, or you simply enjoy spending time with friends, eating quality food and drink, while sat in a park listening to live music, then this event is for you.”

The menu for brunch/lunch includes culinary delights such as Mexican dishes, Spanish tapas, Caribbean BBQ, Thai dishes, organic beef and lamb burgers, hot hog roast, halloumi fries, artisan wood fired pizza, Malaysian, vegan dishes and more. This could be washed down with a real ale, cocktails, organic wines and barista coffees.

Visitors can also take home a variety of treats to enjoy later, or to share with their friends and family, including pies, sausages, organic meat, handmade cheeses, pickles, pates, olives, chocolates, honey, fudge, jams, biscuits, cakes, tray bakes, ice cream, gin, wine, cider, craft beer and much more.
